That means high quality at very manageable file sizes. Amazon's music store stands out because of the deals. It offers daily and weekly specials and most tracks range between $0.89 and $0.99. Most albums are between $5.99 and $9.99. There is also a surprisingly good selection of free tracks available. Use of the service requires the installation of the Amazon MP3 Downloader, a small helper application that manages store purchases and downloads. It supports Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. I only use Amazon mp3 anymore. All I've purchase from there was only $0.89 per song. When you compare that to iTunes' $0.99 downloads, it's like "buy 9 get 1 free."
And if you already have a basic Amazon account- checkout is EASY. You just click "buy," (I didn't even have to use their "Download tool,") they ask where you want to save the file, and when you're done shopping they auto-send the receipt to my inbox. So easy!
